Congregation B’nai Tikvah continued its Come Hike Together series with another Sunday hike, this past Sunday, August 6. They gathered at 8am (to avoid the heat) for a fun hike through the trails of Thompson Park in Monroe Township. Our resident outdoors “expert”, Craig Cohen, showed us the streams, bridges, trees and animal inhabitants of this beautiful park. As an avid birder and science teacher, Craig gave a great commentary along the way, pointing out various bird calls, the interesting flora and fauna, and the balance of the ecosystems. Hikers enjoyed walking through the woods, spotting different creatures, and chatting with each other along the way. Everyone who joined is looking forward to the next outing…wherever it takes them!
