Father of eight and adult education coordinator at Chabad in Manalapan, N.J.
With profound sadness, we share the heartbreaking news of the sudden passing of our dear colleague and friend, Rabbi Levi Wolosow, OBM—Levi Yitzchak ben Chaim Tzvi—on February 3 during a family trip. He was the beloved son-in-law of Rabbi Boruch & Tova Chazanow.
Rabbi Levi was a dedicated Shliach in Western Monmouth County, deeply committed to inspiring, teaching, and strengthening our Jewish community. He was a man who embraced life with joy and was devoted to his family, cherishing every moment spent with them.
In addition to his parents and wife, he leaves behind his children: Nochum Wolosow, Dov Wolosow, Mendel Wolosow, Tzipa Wolosow, Miriam Wolosow, Uziel Wolosow, Naomi Horowitz and Tani Horowitz.
He is also survived by siblings: Rivky Horowitz (Canton, Mass.); Goldie Plotkin (Brooklyn, N.Y.); Mimi Wilhelm (Portland, Ore.); Pasi Wolosow (Toronto); Mushkie Lowenthal (Brooklyn, N.Y.); Chanie Minkowitz (Sharon, Mass.); Leibel Wolosow (Brooklyn, N.Y.); Mendy Wolosow (Hallandale, Fla.); Berri Wolosow (Brooklyn, N.Y.); Zalmi Wolosow (Brooklyn, N.Y.); Shmuly Wolosow (Pittsburgh, Pa.).
His warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to others left an indelible impact, and he will be profoundly missed.

When Rabbi Levi Yitzchok Wolosow, a devoted husband, father, and community leader, passed away suddenly at just 43 years old, his wife lost her partner, her rock, and the father of their eight children—with another on the way.
Their home was built on love, kindness, and generosity. When two children in their community became orphans, Rabbi Levi and his wife didn’t hesitate—they welcomed them into their family, raising them as their own, despite the challenges. That’s the kind of people they were—always giving, always opening their hearts.
Now, the woman who shared this life of kindness with him is left to face an unimaginable reality—raising eight children alone, while carrying their ninth.
