Celebrating the joys of all four seasons is included in the busy calendar at Temple Shalom. Starting with the high holidays, Sukkot and Simcha Torah in the fall—through Hanukkah and Tu Bishvat in the winter and Purim and Passover in the spring, we begin our summer kickoff with the celebration of Shevout. But enjoying the warm summer season has become an equally eventful time for our community.
On Friday evening, June 20th, we gathered for a special Shabbat service at beautiful Holmdel Park, where we had the opportunity to honor the dedicated members of the Temple Shalom choir and our incredible volunteers (photo below). The service was led by Rabbi Malinger, with heartfelt musical support from Cantor Zemel, song leader David Malinger, John Balme, and our beloved Temple Shalom choir, whose time and talent enrich our worship in countless ways.
During the summer we host several outdoor Friday night Shabbat services, including two at our local beaches and one under the moonlight in the Temple’s courtyard. Adults and children come to enjoy the relaxed and inclusive evening.
